How To Be Thin In A World Of Chocolate

How I Became, And Stayed, Thin In A World Of Chocolate, Wine, Cheese, Ice Cream…

20111101-6008

I am a busy, 40-something woman  who was chunky for most of my adult life, but eventually discovered how to be thin.

And I’ve stayed stayed that way for years.

I have neither genetics nor temperament on my side.

I love burgers and pizza, waffles and chocolate.

I like to dine out and if there are two desserts that sound great, I will order both.

I regularly have wine and cheese for dinner.

I’m not someone who can live on salad.

I don’t count calories or exclude food groups or go on diets or follow food fads.

You will never find me at a bootcamp or pushing myself to do exercise I loathe. In fact, I was the girl who had a note in gym class to get out of exercise. Every week.

I do not possess extra reserves of willpower or self-discipline or self-sacrifice.

In fact, those diet and fitness gurus who believe ‘food is just fuel’ and that a good workout is one that makes you vomit – I strongly suspect they are actually Borgs or some other kind of alien life form.

Yet, despite all that, the number one question I get asked – by friends, relatives, even strangers at the next restaurant table – is how do you eat that way and stay thin?

The answer is, I have a system

I have a set of principles for what to eat, when to eat, and even how to eat.

I have a series of guidelines for setting up my life, so exercise fits into my lifestyle and happens on autopilot. Yes, truly.

I have a collection of life strategies that get emotional eating under control and make life not only more pleasurable, but happier too.

And you know what? I’m not even perfect at my own system. I sometimes slip, I sometimes fail, I sometimes —dun dun DUN!— act completely human.

Yet I stay thin.

Now I’m going to share my system with you

Because life is short and it would be a shame to spend it in self-denial.

Depriving yourself of the food you love.

Feeling guilty every time you indulge.

Being distracted from the pleasure of a wonderful dinner with loved ones because you’re obsessed with what you should and shouldn’t eat.

Feeling miserable about your weight, like a constant shadow over your life.

Never feeling good in your body, never happy in your clothes – or out of them.

I’m going to teach you my system so that you can lose weight – yet keep, even increase, your sense of pleasure in life.

Over 8 weeks, I’m going to share with you precisely what I do, and I’m going to help you adapt and apply my system to your own life.

Here’s what we’ll cover

Week 1: The TWC System
My exact formula for designing your perfect, personal weight-loss protocol

Week 2: When To Eat
And when not to eat, to work with your appetite and make the most of your calories

Two columns that simplify your eating choices, plus detoxing your current dietary choices, and how to ‘splurge strategically’

Week 4: How To Eat
Strategies for portion control and learning how to not overeat

Plus, all the way through, I’ll incorporate a crucial piece of the puzzle – how to get your mind on your side. Instead of against you, where it may have been in the past.

In short, I’m going to show you how to be thin in a world of chocolate.
